Read the review before taking it to this place. They have no clue what is going on with peoples vehicles. And then try and contact someone and have them call you back is like pulling teeth. But wait and read the response from owner now. Now they will want to try and correct things and call you back. Well, I will save your time and do not bother because we are done with Boyd. Nothing but wasted time and frustration. The saying goes take it to Boyd, well we have our own saying now and it is don't take it to Boyd. It is to bad we have to click one star.
I was directed to this body shop by my insurance company. I was told they were associated with the RELY NETWORK which would give me a lot of bonus options. I arrived on march 2/18 at about 1:30 PM to get an estimate for repairs on a 2016 Silverado. I parked the vehicle and went in and was asked if I could be helped. I explained I needed an estimate for repairs. I was asked if this was an insurance claim and with who I had insurance. When I told them it was an insurance claim and the name of the insurance company the adviser told me I would not like him. I said that was OK. I was informed I would have to make an appointment for an estimate. I then told the adviser that I liked him and I would go to another body shop. The adviser was OK with that. So much for being a preferred customer. I contacted my insurance company and explained my experience at the shop. They told me they could not accept a customer was treated this way. I told the insurance company I would go to the dealership where I bought the truck and they sent the paper work right away. When I arrived I was treated like a customer should be and an estimate was done in a timely manner. The truck was dropped off and repairs would be started on Monday. I would not recommend Boyds as a first choice for work and so much for the rely network it does not work as a preferred body shop. Due to this bad experience my insurance company waived the deductible and also offered to give me a rental vehicle at N/C which I declined. This is very unacceptable to be treated this way by a local business as I am a resident of ST. ALBERT and try to support local businesses.
The gentlemen behind the desk bluntly refused the time of day to give me an estimate on a rust repair. Even though I was prepared to pay the money neccesary, he insisted my vehicle was not worth repairing. Please don't tell potential customers how to spend their own money!
Booked an appointment, waited a week, they call me to say their mechanic is sick and I will wait another week. Go in to drop off my vechile and wait for over an hour to have a rental vechile ready. They are supposed to have three vechiles ready on standby. Terrible service. Liars and untrustworthy. I'd rather drive across the city and get decent service next time.

The staff at each location we work with are professional, knowledgeable and do all the small things you would hope for at a local shop. It's great knowing we have a company like Boyd that we can count on when we need them the most!
