I was able to visit this clinic last week after a much needed release of stress and tight muscles everywhere! They were awesome at asking the right questions to make sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. The details asked and organization leading up to the appointment really shows the due diligence they go through in order for you to have the best experience before, during and even after you leave. The place was very clean and welcoming, I would visit again very soon!
I have been seeing Nicole and her team at Urban Massage & Wellness for well over a year now and they have helped my body with its numerous health issues. I initially went to Nicole because I wanted to see what a manual osteopath was all about. The combo of a chiro and massage therapist, what could be better?!? I was diagnosed with having bursitis in my right knee due to an injury a few years back and it was getting worse every time I ran, which was a concern, as I was training for my first 10k run in Jasper, AB. I wasnt able to get past 8km without pain., so I went to see Nicole and BOOM, ran 12km without pain!!! This was huge. Mustve been magic.no, it was the diverse training she had, not only as a massage therapist, but also as a manual osteopath. I was able to run my race with little harm to my knee and under my time goal. All thanks to her support along the way.Since then, I have seen a few of her staff members and have had many enjoyable sessions. Whether it was a deep tissue massage, cupping or just a nice relaxation massage, my husband and I keep coming back. We can find a solution for any ailment when we book at Urban Massage & Wellness. I would highly recommend others who are looking for a PROFESSIONAL massage therapist to go to Nicole and her team. You will find nothing but expert therapists at Urban Massage & Wellness. Even her students, who are attaining their hours, are invested in your health future. I am a group benefits advisor and hear from many clients and their employees that direct billing is extremely important, as most do not have enough money up front to pay for their massages and other paramedical practitioner appointment. The good news is that they direct bill with all insurance companies, making it accessible for those with coverage under an employee benefit plan.If you are looking for a massage therapist or seeking treatment for body ailments that your current massage therapist is not getting to the root of, you need to book an appointment with Nicole and her team at Urban Massage & Wellness!
Highly recommend seeing Nicole for manual osteopathy. She took the time to assess me and my problems and has focused on the root problem of my pain. Manual osteopathy is not what I expected at all. It's far more gentle than some of the physiotherapy treatments I've subjected my body to in the past. Nicole really focuses on slow and steady progress as opposed to quick fixes that feel great for 24 hours but don't last beyond that. If you've not found good results with physio in the past, I would highly recommend trying manual osteopathy. Nicole is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about what she does.
Comfortable space and very good massage. I was a little chilly but didn't say anything so she didn't have a chance to fix it. Taken aback by the payment systems option to have a tip added. And then after I didn't add one I felt there was an uncomfortable silence which discourages me from going back. This is a professional service covered by my health benefits plan. AND it was $95 for an hour massage which is on the high end. How much of that is trickling down to my therapist? If it is so little that he/she needs to be tipped like the restaurant industry where workers make minimum wage, there is a problem. I think it denigrates the profession to have this option. I wouldn't dream of tipping the chiropractor or physiotherapist. I realize they make more money however they also train significantly more... At $95/hour, the business owner needs to pay my RMT a very good wage. Probably an old debate but it is my first encounter with it.
I would highly recommend Nicole and Urban Massage and Wellness, to anyone looking for pain relief. Shes been amazing! After doing physio, spending big money on accupucture because benefits didnt cover it, getting massages often and seeing my chiropractor sporadically, no one was able to fix my neck and shoulder issues. They would feel better for a short period of time, like a bandaid fix, but the pain would always return. Pain is one thing and with constant aching, but the dizziness I would experience some days was unreal! This went on for 8-10 months! I had finally had enough and was referred to go and see Nicole through a family member. She was immediately able to pinpoint the cause of my muscle pain just by looking at my posture, relieve that pain and ultimately resolve the dizziness! Just two short sessions and I was back in line and feeling amazing. Shes very knowledgeable, thorough, and definitely worth booking an appointment with.
