Really great place to spend some time at. Great just to grab a coffee and look at plants. Love it.
Always delightful. My wife is the gardener. I help with the heavy stuff. Today we picked up some Jim Hole's potting soil. Good stuff apparently. Our yard will soon look like a flower garden. Thank you Hole's.
Today was our first visit to Hole's Greenhouses.....never did get to the old location so not able to make a comparison. We had won a Hole's Gift Card for $120 and we were looking forward to visiting the place to shop. Based on all the rave reviews we had heard over the years, we were extremely disappointed. The entire building was almost empty and there were obvious signs of previous vendor tenants who were no longer there......so much of the floor space was empty. The selection of house plants wasn't too bad butbthe prices were very high. The outside plants and products were limited and many looked tired and neglected. Some were reduced to clear but even with up to 50% off the original price, they were still overpriced. Because we don't live in Edmonton, we were anxious to spend the value of the card and not have a credit for future visits that are unlikely. We ended up buying some garden tools and an artifical floral arrangement as we couldn't find anything that appealed to us. The cashier was friendly and polite. However, as we left we both agreed we felt as though we didn't have a reason to ever return. A sad ending to what we had anticipated to be a vibrant, positive experience.
I'm pretty sure we came in through the exit because the entrance has, "Business Entrance" labelled on it; as a result of our mistake, it was very difficult to find carts. However, we found great plants. The facility is very beautiful.
Huge selection of plants, garden treats, i.e. vases, rainchains, wind chimes, etc. All very unique. The facility itself is beautiful and their staff is so knowledgeable. You get what you pay for and their plants are the best of the best. The cafeteria is worth treating yourself too!
